Early Childhood Education TeachersEarly Childhood Education Teachers needed in Washington, DC to teach early elementary grade students (PreK to 3rd) basic academic subjects; prepare course objectives & study outlines per curriculum. School Social Worker: Position supports instructional programs by reviewing reports of team members, mentoring colleagues and supporting professional accountability. Position performs specialized social work in an educational setting to enable students to achieve optimal learning. Position collects, interprets, and synthesizes information about a student’s social history, community environment, family dynamics, economic differences, and significant crises that influence academic and behavioral functioning. Position works cooperatively as an interdisciplinary team member to provide services and to devise an appropriate service plan for referred students and their families. Dean of Students: Under the direction of the Principal, the Dean of Students, K-8 serves as an instructional leader in the planning, coordination, and administration of school activities and programs, including curriculum, instruction, assessment, student conduct and attendance, athletics and extracurricular programs, and the supervision and evaluation of assigned personnel. Send resumé to with Dean of Students in the subject line.

Principal: The Principal serves as the educational leader and chief administrator of the school, and is responsible for implementing and managing the policies, regulations, and procedures of the Mary McLeod Bethune Day Academy PCS (MMBDA) Board of Trustees to ensure that all students are supervised in a safe, child-centered learning environment that meets and exceeds the DC Core Curriculum Content Standards, following the approved IB curricula, assessment system, and directives of the school. Achieving academic excellence requires that the Principal works collaboratively to lead and nurture all members of the school staff and communicate effectively with parents, members of the community, and colleagues within the campuses of MMBDA. Inherent in the position are the responsibilities for planning, curriculum development, professional development, program evaluation, extracurricular activities, personnel management, financial management, emergency procedures, resource scheduling, and facilities operations. The principal shall lead and model instructional leadership that maintains expectations for high results, in academics, socialization, school culture, and talent development. Principals establish systems for marshaling all available school resources to facilitate the work that needs to be done to improve student learning, academic achievement and overall healthy development for all students. Send resumé to with Principal in the subject line.

Instructional Coach:  The Instructional coach supports content teachers with the implementation of effective instructional strategies and improved instructional materials to insure quality, fidelity and consistency of IB instruction in order to improve student achievement through assisting the Principal in the development, communication, and facilitation of Collaboration Meetings and instructional support activities outside of the regular classroom instruction. Send resumé to with Instructionals Coach in the subject line.
