One World Education Thousands of students across the city used the One World Program in their ELA or Social Studies classes to learn how to research and write argumentative essays. Teachers then selected several of their most committed students to spend seven weeks working intensively during afterschool hours with the One World team to turn their written essays into compelling oral presentations. Congratulations to the three MMBDA middle school students who were 2018 winners!

Attendance Matters! Attending school regularly helps children feel better about school—and themselves. Start building this habit in preschool so they learn right away that going to school on time, every day is important. Good attendance will help children do well in high school, college, and at work.
*EPI PEN Recall* There has been a voluntary recall of 13 lots of Mylan Epipens® and Epipen® Jrs (epinephrine auto-injectors). According to the Food and Drug Administration, this recall is due to the potential that these devices may contain a defective part that may result in the devices failure to activate, resulting in the improper release of medication.
