Integrating Technology in Our Environmental Science Classroom

This semester, scholars have been able to integrate technology in many ways during their Environmental Science class.
  1. Our 6th and 8th grade scholars were able to record our class praying mantis catching and eating a bumblebee and a fuzzy caterpillar.
  2. Our 3rd through 8th grade scholars were able to use 3D pens to draw and create plant and animals cells before using Google Drawings to design their cells.  These scholars also previously used Google Drawing to create logos for their Environmental Science class.
  3. In the wonderful world of Early Childhood, scholars were able to incorporate robots into their balls unit.  The question was posed, "How can we make balls move without our hands?"  Scholars were able to remote control many robots including Wowwee, Sphero, Pronto Max, and Coji. In all games, the goal was for scholars to use the robots to move balls of different sizes across the room. It was amazing to see the games and mini-competition the PreK(3) scholars made up during their Pajama Party.
  4. Our 8th grade scholars were able to also create competitive games with the Coji robots
Thank you Ms. Belt and Ms. Brown for your hard work with our scholars!
