Principal Owens

We want to assure that our students, faculty, and staff's health and safety are our priority during this time. We want to have a strong sense of belonging and care for our community and do our best to keep ourselves and others safe at all times. That is why we will follow all the DC Department of Health Guidance and CDC Guidance to ensure the safest environment for our entire school community. These measures will include but are not limited to regular cleaning and sanitization of surfaces, materials, and shared spaces, minimizing student transitions, and any other recommended guidelines to return to school.

Our First Day of School is currently scheduled for Monday, August 29th for Kindergarten through 8th Grade and September 6th for PreK classes. Our Early Childhood Parent Home Visits for our Pre-K-3 and PreK-4 students will be scheduled on August 25th - 26th. These visits will be virtual, and you will receive a sign-up form to schedule the day and time. All teachers will send their welcome letters to you on the week of August 23th-27. Teachers will provide detailed information about class expectations, introductions, syllabus, platform sign-ups, and ways of communication.

Further details will be communicated to you in our In Person Parent Orientation held on August 25th, 2022, at 6:00 PM. Please see our SY 22-23 Calendar for your reference.

It is my pleasure to lead and welcome you to our 2022-2023 school year. Please see the logistical details below.

Health Forms:

Please remember that students' vaccinations and Health forms must be up to date or completed in 20 days after students start the first day of school. Please send the documents by email to Ms. Cooks at [email protected] or bring them to school.

DC Student Immunization Requirements

School may have wrapped for the summer, but it’s not too early to ensure your students are properly immunized and ready for the upcoming 2022-23 school year. DC Public Charter School Board has developed easy reference guides highlighting immunization requirements: Click HERE to view the resource for families.

Respectfully,
